In-Mould Labels (IML)

The only label technology where the label and the container become one material — permanently fused during the moulding cycle. Zero adhesive. Zero edge lifting. 100% PP monomaterial recyclability.

The Monomaterial Advantage

The Label Disappears Into the Packaging.

In conventional labelling, the label is always a foreign element — a different polymer, a different adhesive, creating a recycling separation problem. Mudrika IML eliminates that entirely.

Our BOPP-based IML films are formulated to fuse with the PP container during injection moulding, blow moulding, or thermoforming. The result is a single PP monomaterial structure that passes into any standard PP recycling stream — no separation required, no contamination, no recyclability compromise. This is the specification EU EPR mandates and US state recycled content programmes are beginning to demand by name.

  • Label and container share the same polymer stream — PP + PP, fully recyclable as one unit
  • Certified documentation available for EU Green Claims Directive and US EPR compliance reporting
  • Compatible with Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) PP substrates — supports your recycled content targets
  • No solvent-based adhesives in the film chemistry stack — clean from press to pack
  • Passes CEFLEX, RecyClass, and APR (Association of Plastics Recyclers) recyclability test protocols

Applications

Where IML Outperforms Every Alternative.

Dairy & Ice Cream

IML survives blast-freezing, condensation cycles, and cold chain throughout. No label peel in freezer cabinets.

Paint & Coatings Pails

Full-wrap IML on 1–20L pails. Solvent-stable, UV-resistant, survives warehouse stacking pressure without edge damage.

Lubricants & Oils

Oil and chemical resistance built into the film stack. GHS and multi-lingual compliance panels in a single label pass.

Household Products

High-volume, high-graphic IML for detergent tubs and household containers at automated filling line speeds.

Agrochemicals

Chemical-resistant IML for pesticide and herbicide containers — survives UV, humidity, and rough field storage.

Food Tubs & Containers

Direct-to-fill hygienic labelling for yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, and ready-meal containers at food-grade standard.

Integration Process

How Mudrika Integrates with Your Moulding Line.

We don’t hand you a film specification and leave you to figure it out. Our technical team aligns with your injection moulder, calibrates pick-and-place robotics, and validates stack tolerances before a single production run begins.

Design Proofing & Film Specification

We align your artwork, container geometry, and resin specification. Film thickness, coating, and cut tolerances are defined and agreed in writing.

Automation Layout Validation

Our technical team reviews your pick-and-place robotics configuration or advises on automation setup for new installations.

Stack Cutting & Tolerance Testing

IML stacks are cut to precise tolerances for your mould cavity. Sample stacks are dispatched for in-mould trial before full production approval.

Production Approval & Handoff

Full production begins only after your team signs off on the moulded sample. 3–4 weeks total from design lock to first approved production batch.
